Jun. 28th, 2011 01:21 pmSo I've never embedded a video before and I hope this turns out alright, but I was browsing through the comments at Mark Watches Avatar, and this fanvid stole my heart:
I want to watch it over and over again, forever and forever.
(My only quibble is that I'm not a huge fan of the font that some of the character names show up in but everything else is BEYOND AWESOME.)
ETA: I've been thinking about why I love this vid so much and I think it's because of this: I don't like music. I don't dislike it either, music just doesn't usually do it for me. Instrumental music, soundtrack music, though, music that is the backdrop to something that is taking most of my attention -- that music can have a huge effect on me. Most fanvids have music with important lyrics, where the music is as important as the visuals. In this one, however, the music is the backdrop and the scenes she shows, the emotional moments and the fight scenes -- those are the focus of my attention. Plus, I've always been big on action, on fast beats, and I really like the way she almost seamlessly interjects lines from the movie. (There are one or two slightly-rough interjections, but it is better than 99.99999% of similar vids.) Also, this is, like, EVERY emotional climax of the show.
