When I read really good fanfic, not just well-written fanfic but fanfic that is also id!fic, it really brightens my day. This is especially true of multi-chapter fanfics, where each time I get a notification in my inbox or see the next chapter on my flist, my day just gets so much better, I feel the anticipation if I don't get to read it immediately, I save it up for a time when I can savor it.

Maybe that's weird, but fanfic can make me really happy.

I only hope that my fanfics cheer up someone's day as much as others' fanfics cheer up mine. :)
