So I hear they're making Atlas Shrugged into a movie (trilogy?). I think this would be an excellent movie that I would definitely go see if they Hollywood-ified it up and made it all about the epic, tragic romance between Dagny Taggart and Francisco d'Anconia.

(Because ... that's apparently who I shipped from Page 1 in the book? I ... honestly don't remember very much about the book because I was a little young, the politics bored/unnerved me, and I straight-up skipped the 20-page radio speech because it bored me to tears. I plowed through the end because I was hoping for Dagny/Francisco, but alas it never happened.)

Yes! Yes! I liked the rest of the book too, but I spent almost of it hoping for Dagny/Fransisco and as a result I got very disappointed when John turned up and spent a long time missing the point...

Well, the Fountainhead movie was pretty decent and didn't skip the Howard/Gale much, as I recall. So there is hope! Maybe not for Dagny/Franciso, BUT.

I'll go see the Atlas Shrugged movie, I think. It will either be epic or epically mockable.
