I was enjoying you, but WTF is with the misogynistic bullshit in this story arc. Like, I can understand systemic sexism in a period cdrama because HELLO, women got the short end of the stick in ancient China, but puh-leeze.
1. Please don't frame revenge as a manly male pursuit while "maintaining a peaceful home" is a feminine female pursuit.
2. Please don't excuse wifebeating because "You know, he's grieving, and I don't care that he hit me because I'm in love. When you're in love nothing else matters. You don't understand because you're not in love." I mean, it's one thing to have somebody say that, and another to have the narrative subsequently condone it.
