Obligatory New Years Post

laleia2008 in sum: It started out kind of wobbly, got better and better, then tapered off in excellence, arguably decreasing, before peaking in fall -- only to dwindle rapidly as the year came to a close.
Regarding my previous resolution in 2008: fulfilled, more or less. Possibly could do with some brushing up on the academic aspect, internship/future-preparation aspect, but although those aspects are not quite up to par, it can be argued that I have nonetheless made strides.
Resolutions for 2009: In accordance with tradition, I hope/yearn/strive/resolve for this year to exceed 2008. More specifically -- more writing*, more reading*, more sleeping, more learning, more A's in class, more attention to my future, more attention to my health, more paying attention, more linguistic activity, and more keeping in touch with friends. Also, put myself forward more, with more confidence in my ability to make the right decision***.
