Jul. 18th, 2008 10:06 pmI learned today that in Germany, there often is no speed limit and people drive upwards of 100 mph on the highway, and it is no big deal. And there are people who drive 165 mph when the highway is empty, and think it is no big deal. And that Germans must pay thousands and thousands of dollars to go to driving school before getting their license. This is possibly how they are driving so fast and not getting into accidents.
I think I shall never drive in Germany. (Not hard, considering I avoid driving if at all possible in general, and hate it with a passion. Not quite the passion of a thousand suns, though. Maybe 489 suns.)
