Things that have made me sad:

My grade, specifically my IR grade
Learning that in the Samurai Champloo fandom, Fuugen is not gen fic about Fuu (which would be great) but Fuu/Muugen fic (which is not as great)
Trying to find a summer internship
Avoiding contact with people in general attempt at procrastination of everything, ever
The impossibility of finding good fanfic with a specific type of plotline in a specific fandom when you get a craving for it (like, how when you really want to eat something sweet and realize you finished off all your ice cream and candy last week)
Peeling skin
Um, people (I don't think they're real people, but spam-robots) spamming my livejournal

Things that have made me happy:

Bones (new favorite show)
My sister reading Ms. Magazine
Reading through my old diaries (also made me embarrassed at my old self)
Sleeping past noon every day.
Spending time with my cousin.
Those moments when you laugh so hard you can barely breathe.
Thinking about studying abroad in the fall, also about adopting yet another minor (in Global Comm, poss.)

I've had this problem lately too. I wonder if LJ knows about it.

BONES <3
Please tell me you watched in order...
I know there's almost like no chance you watched from the pilot, but a girl can hope rite.

Are you doing well dear?

I am watching in order! You should be proud of me! I watched the pilot first, to see if I thought it would be interesting, and loved it.

I did do one thing that will make you upset. I thought the show would continue being very formulaic (the first fourteen episodes, which I have essentially watched in the last 26 hours) certainly are. So I assumed the rest of the series would be (much like Psych) and .... didn't think there would be spoilers.

So. I went to Wikipedia because I wanted to learn if her brother ever, ever shows up (which my sister and I -- we're watching it together) had hoped.

And may have accidentally spoiled myself just a little. I didn't think there would ever, ever be an overarching plot!!! Not my fault, totally.

As for the rest of life, it has its ups and downs. How's China!!!

Bones has several overarching plots and the relationships contain to evolve and change. The formula exists to enable that. :)

I am counting the episodes between plot points (am only midway through Season 2) and feel like there are 9 episodes of formulaic per 1 of overarching plot -- on the other hand, I am perfectly fine with both formula and overarching plots, so it is the perfect mix!

Side note: I should really learn from past experiences and NOT watching Bones at night, EVER.

Things to look forward to:

-A distant, but certain future end when grades no longer matter to your daily life.
-Yuletide ficathon. If it doesn't have it yet, you can request it next year.
-Lotion.
-Another season of Bones. (yay)

Things I'm jealous about:
-Sleeping past noon everyday
-the laughter
-the fact that you're still studying things you enjoy

Things I rec:
-Go to the SARS Fansubs site and download Galileo. It has some similar elements to Bones, but is just fantastic. A physicist solves puzzles that help solve crimes. Only 10 or 11 eps, but there's going to be a movie this summer!
