Ch. 21
-Harry's cloak will turn opaque? But of course not. It's the speshul one.
-"Wands are only as powerful as the wizards who use them. Some wizards just like to boast that theirs are bigger and better than other people's." *coughcough* Seriously. She's saying this to Harry and Ron, who are teenage boys, and thus should have dirty minds. Why is there not even one snigger?
-I <3 Luna's room, I mean, the portraits of her friends? Gold.
-Hmmm ... my thoughts on Xeno's betrayal. First of all, if you're going to print the truth and not attempt to relocate or hide yourself or what-have-you, then you really have to be expecting retaliation. I'm not surprised they took Luna, really, I'm just surprised that he didn't take any precautions, and that it seems to have hit him so hard. I am glad that Hermione took care that he wouldn't be too punished, to ensure the Death Eaters knew they were really there.

-I actually did believe Harry's slightly-outrageous theory but didn't think it was that great a deal. His obsession kinda got annoying.
-Lee! Oh, the radio station makes me so happy. It's like the backbone of the Resistance. It's like something out of a fanfic. It is GOLD.
-Ted! Died! I was so sad when I heard about that.
-And Harry' stupidity strikes again. [Although if they hadn't gotten caught, they wouldn't have found out about everything else, or rescued the people they needed to rescue, so okay, blind dumb luck struck again.]

Ch. 23
-How the mighty have fallen. Alas, Grindelwald. Voldemort should see his future fate in that of Grindelwald's, but he's not smart enough.
-Hermione! Tortured! My heart breaks for her. But she manages to lie while under torture, which officially makes her the toughest of the Trio.
-And of course Voldemort kills Grindelwald.
-Wormtail's life debt! I called it! Or rather, fandom called it and I agreed, although I admit I was expecting a little more. I mean, that's harsh. Accidentally loosen your grip and your hand strangles you to death?
-Wait, so if you have 3 wands and you cast one spell with all three, it's more powerful? It's like casting 3 spells? Then why don't people just go around with a ton of wands all the time?
-Dobby!

Ch. 24
-I really like the poetry of Harry manually digging the grave.
-Harry's suddenly smart! I still don't understand how Dobby's death suddenly lead to mental evolution on Harry's part, but I won't look the gift horse in the mouth.

-Dean/Luna OTP! Seriously.
-Sorry, but who exactly knows that Harry's at Bill's? Because Lupin doesn't seem at all surprised to find him there, but if everyone knew, then wouldn't there be a constant stream of Weasleys in to see him? Hm?
-Hmmm ... the deal ... I'm not sure what I really think of it. I think it's underhanded and sneaky and they should have tried to tell Griphook straight off that they would give it to him after they had destroyed all the Horcruxes, but I don't think he would have accepted that and ...

Ch. 26
-Imperio! That's Unforgivable. Harry's casting them left and right now? And apparently, he can successfully pull them off without ever having practiced them.
-I just realized! It's the dragon that Harry saw back in Book 1! When he first visited Gringotts!
-Well, they were double-crossed first ... I'm pretty sure JKR did that just so she wouldn't have to deal with the twisty moral implications of worming your way out of an agreement with a goblin.

Ch. 27
-How much Essence of Dittany do they have? They're using it right and left. And since when did they stop capitalizing the words "essence of dittany"?
-Okay, so the horcruxes are ...
1. cup
2. ring
3. locket
4. diary
5. the thing at Hogwarts that I don't remember right now
6. Nagini
and 7. Voldemort himself.
And then, there's the Harry-Horcrux he doesn't know about. Yanno, I still can't believe the Harry-Horcrux people were right.
Death toll: None [I'm not counting people without names, so the millions that perished thanks to Voldemort's rash are not included.]

Date: 2007-07-26 02:58 am (UTC)The whole Dobby scene was rather sad and melodramatic, but it was good. It was very special...
The deal isn't good and I suspected it from the very beginning. However, I think it was the only way to continue.
When you're angry enough to do it, the spells work very well. Don't they?
And since only a few drops of dittany are needed for an injury, a full flask or bottle can last them the whole book.
