Jan. 30th, 2006 03:31 pmToday, I learned that S. Morgenstern is not real and Florin is not real and I am silly and too gullible and fell for the author's lies (well, maybe not lies) hook, line, and sinker. I actually felt bad for him when reading his fictionalized biography, and although it is understandable I missed the fake country of Florin the first time I read it (being young), I cannot believe that this time, I actually read that it was in Europe, reflected briefly to myself that I had never heard of it, and then vowed to look it up on Google when I got home because it was despicable that I had never heard of it. That it wasn't a real country never occurred to me until someone told me that S. Morgenstern was fake. I feel rather ... silly.
