After going my whole life without ever having heard the term "Patagonia" before, I have now come across it two separate times in two separate Harry Poter fanfics in the last two hours.

Bizarre.

I thought it was some mystical Harry Potter land mentioned in passing in a Harry Potter book, and thought it was bizarre that I'd missed it in canon or in subsequent fanfics. Of course, Patagonia is a real place (a region of South America).

It's ironic that I'm more likely to not know real places than I am to not know places in Harry Potter.
