Dear Lost Girl, Episode 5:
Okay, so the whole Chinese restaurant thing is kind of weird, whatever.
My question to you is this: this whole "Chinese bodysnatcher Hsien" thing -- I suppose by "Hsien" you mean 仙 (xian)?
Which, uh ... NOT bodysnatchers? Not at all related to assuming dead bodies? Not ... relevant to anything this episode was about, actually. I mean, why did you even have to call them a "Chinese creature called Hsien" if you were going to invent your own thing?
And it's not like I'm being nitpicky -- I know you're inventing your own mythology about your supernatural creatures, and I'm sure you've riffed off a bunch of other mythological creatures and tweaked them, but this ... this is like if Dyson was a werewolf but he changed into CROWS. I do not approve.
Also, I do not approve of your adherence to the Light/Dark Fae good/evil dichotomy (or referencing it in your "we don't have mercy" shtick). I assumed you were going to turn around the Light/Dark dichotomy and just happen to have two groups that were named Light and Dark for naming purposes, and have it completely unrelated to their natures. THAT would have been more interesting.
Signed,
Your Fan
P.S. The 仙 would totally kick your Fae's ass anyways.
P.P.S. I still heart Kenzie.
