Letter to California
Nov. 5th, 2008 08:17 amI promise, if you give me a second chance, if you give the Californian people a second chance, not only will I vote AGAINST Prop 8, I will campaign against Prop 8 -- FROM CHINA. I will donate money against Prop 8, and I am the cheapest person in the world. I will do my bit and more.
Four years, three months, and one day ago (give or take some hours due to the time difference), I made my second-ever post on livejournal, registering my shame that Missouri was the first state to amend its constitution so that same-sex couples could not get married. And now, you want me to register my shame because California, the state I thought I could count on to think the way I do, has done the same thing?
Hell, no. I might as well re-register to vote in Missouri (instead of in CA where I got to school) so that my one vote fights the good fight in the midst of that conservatism. Conservatism I can at least count on.
I'm so BEYOND pissed off.
