The problem with getting a craving for a specific small-ish fandom and having to wade through ff.net to satisfy said craving is because ... well, it's fanfiction.net. Even when you avoid the dreck, the majority of the fanfiction is mediocre. It's all well and good to find the plot you're interested in (I'm craving "Tris at Lightsbridge" fic right now), but if you're arguing with the fic every other sentence, whether because of characterization or plot choices, it's a bit difficult to enjoy yourself ...

ETA: FFS, I did NOT appreciate you casually sliding in that mention of Tris losing weight.
