I spent the majority of my weekend not doing the homework that I should have done, nor pigging out on candy like the rest of America was (trying o get the last of the good stuff before the trick-or-treaters took it all) but at Osage Beach, Missouri, attending an MSA reunion in which less than half of MSA 2004 went to (although more than half of my house attended), realizing how much I missed the entire MSA environment, and gazing curiously at people dressed in Halloween costumes at the Halloween dance (which was kind of boring until I got into an argument with the Don/Dawn and explained careuflly to him why he was a really big idiot, and would never end up ruling the world but would instead become a janitor at an elementary school while I was president of the U.S.). I also had fun laughing at a guy dressed up as Miroku in a homemade costume, one that his (I think) girlfriend had coerced him into getting into, as his girlfriend was the one who had made both the Miroku costume he wore and the Sango costume she sported.

I also discovered the wonders of Anne Bishop, and learned that the word "orphanage" is now obsolete. Oh. And Amy Tan's memoirs are cool.
