Out of the great many Chinese Americans I've met in my life, not one of them has ever been involved in making and/or selling knock-offs. Or any other criminal activity that I'm aware of.
It's just so disappointing that the writers somehow thought this story was a good idea. Stereotypes aside, the whole thing was filled with cardboard cutter plot lines, too. The sleazy cop? Check. The character randomly saying that he ships the most popular pairing on the show? Check. Brennan and Hannah coming to an understanding just like that? Check.
