Dear Bones

Dear Bones,

I am here today to talk to you about two separate things.

First, when you set up a "being more Chinese vs. thinking you're white" spectrum where "being more Chinese" is working in counterfeit goods and "thinking you're white" is working with the police to report counterfeit goods, uh ... I'm not pleased. Seriously, you make me squeal in excitement because you actually have someone who speaks Chinese with a good accent (which, I feel, never happens -- either their Chinese is terrible, or it's distinctly Taiwanese or it's Cantonese, and I can't abide second-generation Taiwanese accents, and can't rate authenticity of Cantonese accents because I don't know it), and less than TWO MINUTES LATER you have me cringing with your ... baggage.

I mean, my experience is not everybody's experience, obviously, and perhaps there is a sizable population of Chinese Americans where the above spectrum holds true, but there's a reason I cringed when I realized this episode was going to be about Chinese Americans.

Second, I'd like to talk about Hannah. You shows always do this -- you make me genuinely like the Third Wheel character to make the UST between your obvious inevitable OTP last longer. I really like Hannah. And I'm sad because I know she won't last forever (although you know it would be awesome if she did because even though I understand the Booth/Brennan, I could totally be happy with permanent Booth/Hannah, Brennan/Other but the chances of this happening are slim to none). This is like Psych all over again.

Love,
Me
